Stylish Samaritans from far and wide convened at STATS in the spirit of paying it forward with DeQuan + Allison Jones' annual Party For A Purpose school supply drive.

Jones and wife, Allison, began the Jet Jones Foundation in an effort to provide Atlanta area schools with necessary resources to help students thrive and take flight towards their goals. I was fortunate to catch a moment with the professional basketball player for Lille Métropole to get the tea on his Italian cut threads and his goals for the foundation.

BW: Who are you wearing?

DJ: I am wearing HUGO BOSS. It's Italian cut. I had it made when I was in Italy.

BW: In the past, the Jet Jones Foundation has donated school supplies to the Atlanta Community Food Bank - Kids In Need Program. Is this a program to which your foundation will always contribute, and what was your motivation in choosing that organization as a partner?

DJ: The first time we did this, we did partner with the Kids In Need Program, but this year we decided to partner with schools in Dekalb and Fulton counties. Any surplus will then be donated to the program.

BW: What's an inspirational book that you would encourage others to read? The Bible doesn't count.

DJ: The Celestine Prophecy. No no, The Alchemist. Ok I'm going to go with two. The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

BW: How do you see your foundation impacting the community in 5-10 years?

DJ: I want it to grow to be the premier foundation in the Southeast. I hope to be able to meet the demand of all schools in need in Atlanta.

The Jet Jones Foundation also supports the community by cleaning up Randolph Medlock Park that Jones played in as a child. If you'd like to help "Maintain the Mound" on August 12, RSVP via email to volunteer@jetjonesfoundation.org.
