Party For Piedmont Park Goes Viral
I have become quite the environmentalist after camping for two weeks in the mountains and sand dunes of Georgia this past May. I've always believed in global warming, but never truly understood the effects of human disturbances. More on that later ...
If you've been following me for a while, you know that I love a good party that supports an even greater cause. Our beloved Piedmont Park partied for a purpose on September 7 at the Greystone to raise funds for its conservation efforts. The night was topped off by mini makeovers sponsored by Dior Makeup, a spectacular silent auction, juicy cocktails featuring O4W Distillery vodka, and a king's feast of nibbles from local favorites like Naan Stop + The Spotted Trotter.
Can we just take a moment of silence over the fact that I did NOT touch one piece of charcuterie the entire night. I was wondering how I would compose myself when faced with this delectable treat glistening + winking at me on the table. Alas I resisted, and I didn't feel like I missed a thing. I am still on the hunt for a vegan version.
Show your love and support for this beautiful park that brings us so many amazing events year after year - e.g. Atlanta Jazz Festival, Music Midtown, Atlanta Pride - by volunteering, donating, or attending dance-filled nights such as this. If festivals aren't your thing, they have the Green Market + history tours on Saturdays, fitness programs, and three acres for fido to run off-leash. To combat Hotlanna, take advantage of the FREE Legacy Fountain Splash Pad or the Aquatic Center and Pool. Let's keep the conversation going by visiting www.piedmontpark.org for happenings and ways to get involved. Comment below your favorite thing to do or see at Piedmont Park!
